Where can I find more information about serials, and serial collecting?

I have always found the best place to start when looking for information on a subject is the public library. Many books have been written on the subject in the past ten years. Some titles you might look for are "In the Nick of Time" by William Cline, "Science Fiction Serials" by Roy Kinard, "The Serials" by Raymond Stedman,"The Vanishing Legion" by Jon Tuska", and "In a Door, Into a Fight, Out a Door, Into a Chase" by one time serial director William Witney. There are also magazines that you might want to try and find that sometimes carry articles on serials, like "Filmfax", "Cult Movies", and "Famous Monsters of Filmland". The magazine "Cliffhanger" is a small publication put out by World of Yesterday that deals exclusively with serials. I, myself, have a serial article being published in an upcoming issue of "Monsters from the Vault". As always, the internet is an excellent source of information, with many sites dedicated to keeping interest in this genre alive. Besides mine there is the Serial Squadron at www.serialsquadron.com.
